Young Innovators of Nigeria (YIN) is to hold the maiden edition of the Nigerian Technology Innovations Exhibitions and Award (NITIEXA) 2018 from 6th to 7th December at Shehu Musa Yar-Adua Center, Abuja. An award dinner will sign off the event in the evening at the Sheraton Hotels and Towers.
The summit is titled “The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”.
“In a country filled with talents and various opportunity with technology and innovations at the peak, NITIEXA 2018 is aimed at recognizing key players in the ICT sector and those who have, and are using technology to drive the SDG’s; unveiling startups who are leveraging on technology to solve problems especially as it relates to the SDG’s; increasing awareness on SDG’s and provide a platform where stakeholders can strategize on ways in which we can leverage technology to drive these goals.
“The summit would offer a leading forum where industry, governments, private sectors, financial institutions, research institutions, technology experts, and non-governmental organizations can connect to share knowledge with the aim to fast-tract the attainment of SDGs agenda 2030 and to diversify the economy and create decent jobs. It would equally create platforms for local and foreign stakeholders to discuss the most recent global trends research result and best practices in the fields of Technology enabled Innovations for sustainable development,” said Chairman of the local organising committee, Mr. Andrew Abu who is also the president of YIN.
YIN is a social organization with the mandate to bridge the skills and entrepreneurial gap among Nigerian youths in the area of ICT and relevant crafts towards enterprise development. YINis partnering on NITIEXA 2018 with Network of Incubators and Innovators in Nigeria and Eventigo Classic Planners.
