Unconnected 2024! Nigeria’s premier conference & expo on telecoms connectivity + renewable energy, targeting rural and underserved areas, is set to take place this November in Abuja. According to Global Digital Insights, about 45.4% of Nigeria’s population lives in rural areas. The World Resource Institute reports that over 85 million Nigerians lack access to electricity, while the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) states that nearly 30 million Nigerians in rural and suburban areas are without telecommunications services. A significant portion of the Nigerian population is ‘under-electrified,’ and many lack basic access to telephony, internet, and electricity.
