As the holiday season approaches—a time that can feel isolating for many—a new social networking platform, TrueEQ, offers a transformative way to forge deeper and more meaningful connections. Rooted in emotional intelligence (EQ), TrueEQ goes beyond superficial interactions to help users build authentic relationships and nurture personal growth.

“TrueEQ is about connecting people who value self-awareness and emotional growth over superficial appearances,” said creator Brandon Bishop. “This isn’t just a social app; it’s a platform for personal transformation.”
How It Works
TrueEQ uses a 15-question quiz to assess users’ strengths across the four pillars of emotional intelligence—self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, and relationship management. A proprietary heart meter visually tracks each user’s EQ progress, encouraging growth and facilitating connections based on shared emotional depth and interests.
Unlike traditional social media, TrueEQ focuses on creating communities that inspire trust, empathy, and meaningful support.
The Vision
Bishop, who holds a master’s in secondary education, launched TrueEQ as a passion project inspired by his personal journey of overcoming shallow relationships and emotional isolation. He envisions the platform expanding into areas such as education, corporate training, and healthcare to promote emotional intelligence skills in high-stress environments.
TrueEQ is free to use and accessible on desktops or mobile devices. Apps are also available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
Whether seeking friendship, personal growth, or deeper connections, TrueEQ offers a safe space to foster emotional bonds, making this holiday season a meaningful one.
