President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Daser David as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI).

Daser, who previously served as the pioneer Director General of the Plateau Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA), brings a wealth of academic and industry expertise, particularly in digital technologies and educational leadership.

The Digital Bridge Institute, established by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in 2004, plays a pivotal role in equipping Nigerians with essential IT skills through education, research, and innovation.

The institute offers a wide range of professional courses in telecommunications, ICT, entrepreneurship, and academic programs, all recognized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).

In addition to Daser’s appointment, President Tinubu has also approved the appointment of Mr. Reuben Oshomah as Executive Director of Marketing at Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), and Mr. Adama Kure as Executive Director of Finance and Administration at NIGCOMSAT.

Mr. Oshomah brings extensive experience in communications satellite marketing and strategic business development, while Mr. Kure is recognized for his strong record in financial management and corporate governance.

“The President expects the newly appointed officers to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to bear in driving the strategic vision for these institutions,” stated Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity).

Expressing his gratitude, Daser David told IT Edge News in Jos, “I am elated with this appointment to serve my country again. This is an opportunity to further energize Nigeria’s emerging tech ecosystem and support the government in developing the digital skills needed to make Nigeria a key player in Africa’s tech sector.”
