Startup Arewa Development Initiative, an NGO with focus on creating the largest technology ecosystem in the country, will be hosting the Startup Arewa Summit, September 18, 2018 at the Conference Hall, Fraser Suites, Abuja.
The summit with the theme “Building a competitive ‘Technopreneur’ ecosystem in the Northern part of Nigeria’ will focus on creating a supportive environment for tech and media entrepreneurs operating in the north of Nigeria with funding, training, co-working spaces and mentorship.
The Startup Arewa Development Initiative desires to support a tech and media environment and help nurture a sustainable media enterprise in northern Nigeria. “In an effort to achieve this we have been holding roundtables and have now decided to start a summit that will bring all the state chapters together in order to network, collaborate, share and learn from each other,” said Mohammed Ibrahim Jega for Startup Arewa Development Initiative
The summit will examine among others: ‘how to build a sustainable ecosystem, the role of media in promoting entrepreneurs in the north; and why [businesses and early drivers] are divided instead of ‘Coopeting ‘(Cooperating and competing).
The summit is opened to tech and media entrepreneurs operating in Northern Nigeria.
