Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a leading global provider of digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has announced the promotion of Scott Armul. He is now  Executive Vice President of Global Portfolio and Business Units, effective January 1, 2025. Armul wil report directly to Vertiv CEO Giordano (Gio) Albertazzi, Armul. He is expected to spearhead Vertiv’s global portfolio strategy to support industry and customer demands in an evolving digital landscape.

Armul’s promotion coincides with a shift in responsibilities for Vertiv’s CTO and EVP of Products and Solutions, Stephen Liang. Starting January 2025, Liang will concentrate on his role as CTO. He will be focusing on the company’s long-term vision and technology innovation strategy. Armul, meanwhile, will oversee Vertiv’s engineering R&D and lead key business units. These include thermal and power management, IT systems, infrastructure solutions, and global services. Together, Armul and Liang will play pivotal roles in Vertiv’s future technology roadmap.

Armul, who began his journey with Vertiv as an MBA intern in 2009, brings over a decade of experience across various technical and leadership roles. He has led initiatives as Director of AC Power Product Management, and VP of Global DC Power and Outside Plant. Most recently, he was VP of Global Strategic Accounts, where he drove increased order volumes and growth-focused initiatives.
