Poland plans to develop Nigeria’s telecommunication industry through investment even as it seeks to foster collaborations between Nigeria’s telecoms regulator, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Polish Telecommunication regulator – UKE.
The Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Andrzej Dycha who recently paid a visit to the NCC to seek collaborations said Poland has finalized plans to explore ways to invest in Nigeria’s telecom industry.
“Poland had followed with admiration the trend in Nigeria’s telecommunications sector and is ready to explore how Polish businesses can also invest in the telecommunication industry in Nigeria,” said Ambassador Dycha.
The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta who was elated about Ambassador Dycha’s visit, thanked him for identifying Nigeria as a great place to invest.
“The Commission will examine the proposal and the invite from the Ambassador to institute a process of collaboration with the Polish telecom regulator, as well as network with other agencies of the Nigerian government to fully explore the invitation for collaboration offered by the Ambassador,” he said.
