Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, has extended official salutations to President Alassane Quattara of CoteD’Ivoire, as he arrives this afternnon in Abuja to the 60th extraordinary session of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority Heads of State.
“As Nigeria stands tall and proud to play host to leaders in the sub region, it is with utmost sense of duty that the Honourable Minister chaperones His Excellency at this epoch-making session of ECOWAS on behalf of the Federal Government as assigned by the President,” a stattement by the minister’s spokesperson, Mrs. Uwa Suleiman. announced.
The sttament added:
“In the same vein, the Honourable Minister on behalf of the President and the entire people of Nigeria, extends our sincere congratulations to the President and people of CoteD’Ivoire on the historic building of its new Chancellery in Nigeria’s capital. This will in no small measure, strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries and the sub- region at large.

“In discharging this national assignment as His Excellency’s official chaperone, Professor Pantami will be supported by the Honourable Minister of Power Engr Abubakar Aliyu, and accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy Mr Bitrus Bako Nabasu, mni and the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency.
