The Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) has confirmed the reliability and convenience of using NigComSat-1R services for smooth transmission of signals and operational use in different states of the federation.

A high powered delegation from the NTA led by the Executive Director, Engineering services, Engr. Stephen Moses who paid a visit to NIGCOMSAT Ltd, stated that NTA has been able to transmit on NigComSat-1R in different locations in the country.

Engr.  Moses said the largest television station in Africa has so far carried out test in Lagos, Maiduguri and Bauchi which has been successful on C-band extended.

The NTA Chief Engineering Officer, stated that with all facilities on the standard C-band (NTA) 2.4m dish in Maiduguri and Bauchi and they have uplink facilities in twelve locations.

Earlier on, while receiving the guests, the Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development, NIGCOMSAT Ltd Hon Samson Osagie and the Executive Director Engineering Services, Engr. Kolawole Raji Kazeem, were optimistic with the development stating that the business relationship between the two agencies has long been overdue.

They duo welcomed the initiative and promised NTA of reliable signal transmission at affordable and competitive price.

The meeting rolled into action by setting up framework of engagement preparatory to signing an agreement to kick start the relationship between the two agencies.

The meeting also assigned responsibilities to the Engineering and Marketers from the two agencies to ensure a workable direction towards achieving a smooth take off of the engagement.
