Nissan Vice President, Peyman Kargar, was in Nigeria recently to discuss expanding its already established automobile production in Nigeria. Kargar had talks with the Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Jelani Aliyu at the company’s Nigeria Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Nissan Nigeria car assembly plant in Lagos was established about three years ago. The 380-hectare plant in Lagos operates with Nissan’s Nigerian partner, Stallion and produces four of the company’s vehicles: the Patrol, Almera, NP 300 Pick Up and Urban Mini Bus.

The multinational Japanese corporation expresses its commitment to collaborate even closer with the NADDC to expand choices for consumers and grow its portfolio of automobile to become both more affordable and technologically robust for Nigeria’s peculiar environment.
