  • DBI enters strategic partnership with Somewhere Hospitality & Management Hub

The Nasarawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (NASITDEA) is partnering with the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI). This  partnership will enhance professional development and capacity building in Nigeria’s technology sector. This strategic collaboration was announced following a recent courtesy visit by NASITDEA’s Director General, Mr. Haruna Sani Sani, to DBI’s Abuja office. During the visit, both parties agreed to launch certification programs aimed at advancing skills in technology and innovation.

Customized Certification Programs for Sustainable Growth

The discussions between NASITDEA and DBI focused on developing customized training programs tailored to meet current industry needs. These programs will provide certification in various technology fields. They will help in equipping professionals with the skills required for sustainable development in the digital economy.

“Our mission is to empower professionals with relevant, up-to-date skills. We believe this collaboration with DBI will further strengthen our efforts, enabling our members to remain competitive in the ever-evolving digital economy,” said Mr. Sani.

DBI’s Nationwide Reach and Ongoing Initiatives

Daser David, Chief Executive Officer of DBI, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. He highlighted DBI’s commitment to bridging skills gaps across the country. “DBI looks forward to working with NASITDEA to develop a certification program that will benefit both organizations and the broader community. Together, we can make impactful contributions towards closing skills gaps and preparing individuals for future opportunities,” David stated.

DBI has a strong presence nationwide. It has six campuses in Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Yola, Enugu, and Asaba, providing cutting-edge skills development programs. The institute is already involved in various digital empowerment initiatives, including the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy’s 3MTT program and the Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADEPTI).The latter is funded by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). These initiatives provide advanced skills training for teaching and non-teaching staff at tertiary institutions.

Supporting Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda

The partnership aligns with the Nigerian government’s Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Tinubu and the NCC’s ongoing efforts to promote digital literacy across the country. DBI and NASITDEA will explore specific training modules, certification structures, and timelines for implementing the programs to ensure a positive impact on the digital economy.

In a related development, DBI has also entered into a strategic partnership with Somewhere Hospitality and Management Hub. The collaboration aims to revolutionize Nigeria’s tourism industry through cutting-edge digital solutions and capacity-building initiatives.
