In a statement by Chima Akwaja, Deputy Director of Information, NASENI’s participation in the fair aligns with its 3C’s principle: Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialization. This engagement provides NASENI with an opportunity to showcase its technological and innovative capabilities.
Among the featured exhibits at NASENI’s stand are innovations from its 12 Development Institutes, including NASENI Solar Energy Ltd (NSEL). Key technologies on display include the NASENI Transformer and CNG Conversion Centre. Others are Solar CCTV, Automatic Change Over Switch, Solar Kit Trainer, Science Kits, Rotary Furnace, Digital Roadsign, Animal Feeds Machine, and the Science Automatic Model.
Importance of showcasing NASENI’s innovations
Speaking at the fair, Executive Vice Chairman, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, emphasised the importance of showcasing NASENI’s innovations. He said this necessary to support Nigeria’s economic transformation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu. The President is the Chairman of the NASENI Governing Board.
“The objective of our participation is to promote NASENI technologies, products, and research institutes nationwide,” Khali. He was represented at the fair by the Director of Information, New Media and Protocol, Olusegun Ayeoyenikan. “We also want to advertise our achievements to the global community. This creates greater awareness of the NASENI brand and increases patronage for the agency,” he added.
He also highlighted the agency’s past successes at similar events. “In previous fairs, we exhibited research products to stakeholders, SMEs, and the general public,” He stated. Adding “we secured several awards and valuable engagements with technology end-users.”
NASENI, the only federal agency mandated to focus on research, development, reverse engineering, and production, continues to drive innovation in capital goods, machinery, and equipment manufacturing to support Nigeria’s industrialization.
The fair, themed “Mobility: Options for Transportation, Trade Finance, and Transportation,” is hosting over 500 exhibitors showcasing more than 10,000 products and services to over 100,000 participants.
