The newly introduced products include the NASENI Laptop, NASENI Android smartphone, NASENI Lithium battery, and NASENI 300watts LED Solar Street Lamp. These innovations mark a significant step forward in NASENI’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology to the market.
Mr. Halilu, while addressing the media, highlighted the agency’s achievements in alignment with the NASENI Strategic Launchpad. He emphasized that some of the products are already available in the market, while others have been pre-booked for release throughout the year.
Earlier in the year, NASENI unveiled its Solar Irrigation System, Electric Keke, electric Motorcycle, and Solar-powered Cargo Tricycle during an oversight visit by the Senate Committee on NASENI. Mr. Halilu reiterated the agency’s dedication to meeting the demand for Nigerian-branded products in the market.
NASENI, as the sole purpose-built agency of the Federal Government aimed at domesticating technology, has adopted a fast-track approach under Mr. Halilu’s leadership. The agency is fully committed to technology transfer and commercialization of its research and development (R&D) products, with a focus on job creation, wealth generation, and reducing import bills.
Mr. Halilu outlined NASENI’s strategic principles of Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialization (3Cs), emphasizing partnerships with both public and private sectors to bring R&D products to end-users. He urged investors to collaborate with NASENI to support the country’s industrialization efforts.
At the briefing, achievements and ongoing activities of the agency were highlighted, including the development of the NASENI Proposal Evaluation Portal, NASENI Growth Hacker, NASENI ERP, NASENI eProcurement, NASENI StemBox, NASENI Innovation Hub, and PICTT projects such as Delta2 and DeltHer. These initiatives underscore NASENI’s commitment to driving technological innovation and economic growth in Nigeria.
