The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has teamed up with Nigerian tech firm Imose Technologies Ltd to release the first generation of locally manufactured laptops and tablets. This initiative supports NASENI’s commitment to advancing local content, job creation, and indigenous industrialization, all key elements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to stimulate economic growth.

Branded under NASENI’s name, the new lineup includes a 14-inch laptop, the NASENI Zedon X-Pro, equipped with a Core i5 processor and built for performance, portability, and ease of use, making it an excellent choice for students, professionals, and tech users. Additionally, the 10.5-inch tablet merges portability with functionality, supporting document editing, drawing, video streaming, and gaming.
NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, describes the partnership with Imose Technologies as a “strategic move” aligned with NASENI’s “3Cs principles of Collaboration, Creation, and Commercialization.” He emphasized, “We aim to reduce importation bills and make NASENI a key player in Nigeria’s tech revolution. By domesticating cutting-edge technologies, we’re building a national brand that every Nigerian household will soon recognize.”
Imose Technologies Chairman, Osayi Izedonmwen, echoed similar enthusiasm, highlighting their ten-year dedication to tackling Nigeria-specific challenges through locally manufactured mobile and computer devices. “Partnering with NASENI allows us to enhance access to technology for education and work, bridging Nigeria’s digital divide,” Izedonmwen stated.
