‘Doing well by doing good’ has become become a well-known catchphrase for sustainable investment, but in the real world of tech investing, many struggle to realize how their activities can combine positive social, economic and environmental impact with lucrative returns. Nordic investors and anyone else who’s interested are welcomed for an informative session and an interactive discussion on the African region as an investment destination in the tech space, and on building strong partnerships for making impact and reaching returns.
Your host and speakers
Eric Osiakwan, Managing Partner of Chanzo Capital, is an Entrepreneur and Investor with 15 years of ICT industry leadership across the Africa region and the world. He has worked in 32 African countries setting up ISPs, ISPAs, IXPs and high-tech startups. He co-founded Angel Africa List, Angel Fair Africa and currently serves on the board of Farmerline, SMS GH, Forhey,Teranga Solutions, SeeSayDo, Oasis Websoft, Siqueries, Amp.it,SameLogic, Bisa app, Wanjo Foods, Ghana Cyber City and WABco.
Sebastian Büttrich, Research Lab Manager at the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU), has worked in a string of African IT projects in 10+ countries over the last 15 years, as a manager, developer, architect, consultant and teacher, part placed at the ITU, part in country and community development projects especially focused on the Asian and African regions.
