Media Marathon Expo 2019 celebrates positive impact of telecom industry on media

The Lagos Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Organizing Committee of the Lagos Media Marathon will be celebrating the positive impact of the telecom industry on the media at the Media Marathon Expo 2019 which will hold next month May 13- 17 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The theme of the Expo is Celebrating the Positive Impact of Telecom Revolution of 2000 on the Media Industry.

The Expo will have, as guests and speakers, renowned journalists, academics, health experts, sports icons and lots more (See attached for list of speakers and topics).

About 10,000 runners expected to participate in the race are required to collect their race kits at the Expo. The attendance at the Expo is free to the public

The event offers ICT organizations access to thousands of consumers over a five-day period.

Topics for five days media expo include: Nigeria’s telecom revolution and its impact on Journalism ; Running the Newsroom not Running the Home; Survival of Traditional Media in the Age of New Media; Media Practitioners Tax Obligations and Planning for Life After Journalism; and Physical Fitness, Political Leadership and Journalism.

Speakers and moderators during the sessions include: Funke Egbemode: MD, New Telegraph Newspapers; Ijeoma Nwagwukwu: MD Arise Television; Ibim Semitinari: MD Business Eye; and Kadaria Ahmed : MD, Daria Media.
