Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State will today, Monday June 1, 2020, unveil the first set of digitized Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to successful applicants under the new property acquisition scheme tagged: Oyo State Home Owners Charter (OYHOC).
The scheme formally begins the digitization of all land property documents in the state as part of the wider agenda to leverage technology to speed up government services to citizens.
The ‘Made Easy Initiative’ for land title document ensures the process of getting a land title documents at an affordable cost happens within 60 days. These title documents include Certificate of Occupancy, Deed of Assignment, Deed of Sublease and Deed of Mortgage Consents.
Since assuming office, Makinde has continuously assured that his administration will bring speed and efficiency to delivery of governance in Oyo state. The digital C of O is fulfilment of part of that promise, said a top government aide in Ibadan, capital of Oyo.
