A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending the launch of the first software testing book in Africa. The book is authored by the incredible Ibironke Yekinni™️. It was a phenomenal and inspiring event that left a lasting impression on me.

Fast forward a bit. I got the incredible chance to be part of a virtual panel discussion about the book, with Ibironke herself!

It all started after I sent her a message on LinkedIn to share how inspiring the book launch was—and the rest they say, is history.

Insights on software testing

The panel was filled with engaging conversations and valuable insights, and I’m grateful to have shared the experience alongside my dear friend. Anuoluwapo Ogunfuwa.

We had the chance to hear valuable perspectives from seasoned professionals Maaret Pyhäjärvi, Abimbola A. and Nathaniel O. who carefully analyzed the book and shared their pockets of wisdom.

The ABCs of Software Testing is a must-read for every tester. As I shared during the discussion, “The book goes beyond technical explanations. [It gives] us a clearer picture of the fundamental role software testing plays in today’s technological landscape.

It brings a spotlight to the subtle finesse behind software testing—the kind of sophistication that only those in the field typically appreciate. And for someone who’s not a QA analyst, this book removes the mystique that often surrounds the discipline. It delivers what I like to call an ‘aha moment,’ where the complexities of our work are simplified into actionable insights.”
It’s packed with valuable knowledge and is easily digestible, making it essential reading for both new and seasoned professionals.

Ibironke Yekinni™️ you rock! Thank you once again for the opportunity.
