Kaduna, home to about 1.2 million people and nestled in the heart of northeast Nigeria, is gearing up to host the grand finale of the GITEX AFRICA Startup Roadshow. Representing the final leap of the three-city pitch competition, the ‘City of the Crocs’ will be spotlighting innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial prowess of young Nigerians in the highly competitive pitch competition.

A collaboration between Kaduna State Government and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the event, holding inside the courtly Dome Suites, is expected to highlight the city’s burgeoning startup ecosystem to the world building on the success of previous stops in Abuja and Lagos. The event is being managed in Nigeria for the DWTC by its country representative: Pinnacle Global Business Services Ltd with the support of a number of local partners that include National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Lagos State, and Bank of Industry among others.
The GITEX AFRICA Startup Roadshow has already made significant waves across Nigeria, shining a spotlight on promising startups and fostering collaboration within the country’s dynamic tech sphere. Now, with Kaduna taking center stage, the region has an excellent opportunity to highlight its unique contributions to the nation’s tech ecosystem.

With startups like Fundus Ai, Xchangebox, Clinify, and Dojah leading the charge in the Abuja with Lagos leg of the roadshow, judges will today in Kaduna, assess the final list of startups from then announce eventual winners to represent Nigeria at GITEX AFRICA, holding May 2024 in Morocco.
