Oxygen Broadband partner Chicken Republic for free Wi-Fi
Nigeria’s Oxygen Broadband has sealed a partnership deal with Chicken Republic to provide free Wi-Fi internet service at all Chicken Republic outlets across Nigeria. Wi-Fi internet services is already a “must-have” for businesses such as shopping malls, fast food centres, hotel restaurants, in-room mini-bars and gym facilities in cities like Lagos and Abuja.
Nine Chicken Republic’s outlets have been connected, they include those of Marina, Ajose Adeogu, Adeola Odeku, Admiralty Way, Lekki, Awolowo Way, Ikoyi, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Jibowu, Ikosi Ketu and Ikeja City mall. The partnership will see customers walk into any of the connected outlets, buy food worth N650, and get a voucher that allows them browse the internet for 30 minutes with their mobile devices.
Speaking on the choice of Chicken Republic, Co-founder/Chief Operating Officer of Oxygen Broadband, Ayowande Adalemo revealed Oxygen Internet Hotspot locations are selected based on certain criteria that make it very convenient for anyone to visit. He said: “Chicken Republic presents that case; it has been shown that people love visiting their outlets.”
Head Marketing/PR at Chicken Republic, Susan Rotimi said connecting Chicken Republic’s outlets to Wi-Fi internet is one innovative way to attract customers. Her words: “We are passionate about delivering satisfaction, taste and species to our customers; it is all about giving value to our customers.”
There are no data caps in the Wi-Fi internet services provided, that means, customers can download any amount of data they want when they are within Chicken Republic. A central Network Operation Centre (NOC) is also in place to enable a 24/7 monitoring of the network and to guarantee fast reaction in case of faults by the local NOC personnel.
