CWG receives U.S. partner’s award

Pan African Systems Integration Company, Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) has received the International award for outstanding achievement in supporting American-Nigerian trade at the United States International Partner Forum and Awards held in Lagos.

The U.S. International Partner Forum and Awards is an annual event organized by the United States Commercial Service (CS), the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration with an objective of honouring Nigerian businesses. Award is for people who promote U.S. products and services and who have contributed significantly to the achievement of the goals and objectives of the U.S. Commercial Service Nigeria (CS Nigeria).

 

Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of CWG, Mr. Austin Okere is one of the most proactive promoters of U.S. exports and commercial interests in Nigeria. He was one of the pioneers of the NUSA (Networking with the United States of America) programme. He is an ardent entrepreneurial advocate equipping young entrepreneurs in the USA and other parts of the globe with his wealth of knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship. Also, presently, he is an entrepreneur in residence in Columbia Business School (CBS), New York and also guest lectures at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston.

 

During the period under review for the award, Computer Warehouse Group recorded transactions valued over $46 million with its US associates necessitating the award given to CWG. Organizers of the U.S. International Forum and Awards also recognised CWG for its transformation as a Pan African ICT company with regional offices in West, East and Central Africa. CWG has been able to build good relationships with world-class OEMs like Dell, Oracle, Cisco, EMC, and Symantec.
