Ikeja Electric Plc has launched its whistle blowing platform to curb incessant electricity thefts across its network.

The whistle blowing platform will enable customers to report illegal and unethical activities in a safe, confidential and secure manner for immediate action.

The platform, which is independently managed by Deloitte, one of Nigeria’s leading professional service firms, allows customers to make a report anonymously by making use of multiple channels including a toll-free hotline, an email platform, a web-based service and a mobile app.

“By connecting our customers directly with the professional services provider responsible for the management of the platform, we have provided a means for us to work together with the customers to expose all forms of illegal and unethical behaviour on our network,” said the company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Felix Ofulue.

“Our subscription to the whistle blowing platform is in line with our core values of professionalism, integrity, and discipline, and our commitment to uphold the highest ethical standards in all our dealings with our publics” added Ofulue.

He assured whistle blowers that the company would protect their identity while appealing against misleading and false reports as they may face the full wrath of the law.
