The CEO of Kenya’s ICT Authority, Stanley Kamanguya, has reaffirmed his organization’s commitment to fostering a digitally skilled workforce among young people.

Kamanguya spoke at the recent graduation ceremony for the Presidential Digital Talent Program (PDTP) Cohort XIII interns at Oracle’s Nairobi offices. He commended the graduates for their achievements and expressed optimism for their future impact on Kenya’s digital economy. Hosted by Oracle Managing Director, David Bunei, the CEO of Kenya’s ICT Authority, expressed support for the graduates.
Overview of the Presidential Digital Talent Program
The PDTP, a flagship initiative by the ICT Authority, is a 12-month internship program designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
Participants spend nine months in public sector roles and three months in private sector placements. They gain hands-on experience across various ICT disciplines including Networks & Digital Infrastructure. Others are Software Development & AI, Information Security, Data Analytics, Multimedia (ICT Graphics), and Digital Marketing.
ICT Authority and Oracle empower Kenya’s youth through Program
David Bunei lauded the partnership between Oracle and the ICT Authority, emphasizing the shared vision of creating a digitally empowered workforce.
“This graduation is a testament to our collective efforts to achieve a fully digital economy. The skills you have acquired position you to become leaders in sectors like finance, engineering, and innovation,” Bunei said.
He encouraged the graduates to embrace opportunities with ambition, innovation, and purpose. According to him, technology remains a powerful enabler for economic transformation.

Stanley Kamanguya expressed his admiration for the innovative ideas presented by the interns. He thanked program partners for their mentorship, training, and support in preparing the graduates for professional challenges. The ICT Authority boss highlighted the limitless opportunities within the technology sector, spanning industries such as finance and healthcare. He then urged the graduates to leverage their skills to develop solutions for social and economic challenges.
“You are stepping into a world full of opportunities where technology knows no limits. Be innovative, bold, and ready to solve real-world problems,” Kamanguya stated.
He also assured industry partners that the PDTP graduates are equipped with the expertise and adaptability required to meet global technology market demands.
