Guarantee Trust Bank (GTBank) has unwrapped its new GTWorld mobile banking app to bring swift, easy and smart mobile banking in a more secure environment to its increasingly sophisticated customers.

With a biometric feature, the GTWorld is designed for those that will want to bank on a smart device. The app is a one-stop shop where mobile banking runs better in a clear departure from the GTBank SMS-enabled *737* USSD feature for faster transactions.
“The world of banking has changed forever” these are the words of CEO of GTBank, Segun Agbaje as he formally unveiled the new product.
Unlike decades ago, banking today is done on mobile devices. In view of this, GTBank, one of the Africa’s foremost financial institutions with exceptional digital and online banking products, said the new GTWorld is to further up the game in Africa’s mobile banking sub-sector in a way that gives the consumers a greater user experience.
The new app is designed to be one of the most robust and secure mobile banking applications with various security options like biometric(fingerprint recognition) facial recognition. GT World offers the customer more than 90 percent of the bank’s services on their smartphones. With a guaranteed security through a quick feature, customers are allowed to perform various banking transactions without signing it.
“With the new GTWorld mobile banking application, most customers might not see the need for them to be in the banking hall. Apart from the basic banking features of the application, customers will enjoy SMS traffic information and GAPSLite, the online banking platform for small businesses,” said Head of Technology at GTBank, Olusina Ayegbusi.
