GITEX comes to Africa

Marrakesh, Morocco will be hosting the first GITEX Africa from 31 May-2 June 2023 in an historic decision to leverage the opportunities in GITEX GLOBAL to further open up the continent’s potentials in the global digital economy.

This was announced this week in Dubai at a press launch during GITEX GLOBAL 2022.

GITEX Africa will be the first foreign venture in the 42 years of the world’s mega tech expo and conference.

The inaugural GITEX AFRICA is holding in partnership with Morocco’s Digital Development Agency (ADD) and will bring home to Africa the event’s “42-year legacy of connecting tech titans, governments, start-ups, investors and global innovation hubs, to accelerate, collaborate, and explore new ventures in the world’s rising tech continent”

ADD operates under the authority of the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, and will work to hold GITEX Africa in collaboration with KAOUN International, the overseas events organising company of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

GITEX GLOBAL has grown in brand and presence to become the world’s largest tech and startup show with unrivalled growth. The 42nd edition equals 33 football fields, 26 halls and 2 million sq. ft to give enough space to the incredible more than 5,000 companies and more than 200, 000 attendees from 90 countries. The event simply outran its capacity at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) venue to underscore its global identity.
