Galaxy Backbone Ltd (GBB) has been awarded the Best Federal Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA) for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure at the 2024 Nigeria GovTech Public Service Awards. The accolade, presented during the Nigeria GovTech Conference, recognizes GBB’s leadership in delivering innovative, sustainable infrastructure that advances Nigeria’s digital transformation goals.

Organized by the Bureau of Public Service Reform (BPSR), the conference focused on “Digital Innovations as Catalysts for the Renewed Hope Agenda.” The event highlighted the role of technology in accelerating the public sector’s digitalization efforts.
In addition to the organizational award, GBB’s Managing Director/CEO, Professor Ibrahim A. Adeyanju, received the Distinguished Trailblazer Award. The recognition honors his visionary leadership in guiding the company’s efforts to enhance Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and establish GBB as a key player in the government’s ICT ecosystem.
Accepting the awards, Prof. Adeyanju expressed appreciation for the recognition, emphasizing the significance of collaboration in achieving resilient digital infrastructure that aligns with national objectives. “These awards validate our dedication to excellence in public service through sustainable infrastructure. Galaxy Backbone remains committed to supporting the Federal Government’s digital economy initiatives,” he stated.
