Galaxy Backbone (GBB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bauchi State Government. The deal entails deploying advanced digital infrastructure and ICT services across the state. This landmark agreement aims to accelerate digital transformation and promote economic development in Nigeria’s northeast region.

The signing ceremony took place at the Bauchi State Government House, where Galaxy Backbone’s Managing Director/CEO, Professor Ibrahim A. Adeyanju, was hosted by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed. This MOU sets a framework for collaboration between Galaxy Backbone and Bauchi State. IT will leverage GBB’s state-of-the-art data centers in Abuja and Kano. The partnership is set to boost connectivity, enhance ICT skills, and offer consultancy. Also, it will deliver hosted ICT services to improve governance and public services in Bauchi State.

Professor Ibrahim A. Adeyanju emphasized the importance of the collaboration: “This MOU reflects Galaxy Backbone’s dedication to assisting state governments in building robust digital infrastructure and ICT service ecosystems. Our partnership will provide Bauchi State with top-tier ICT solutions to drive digital transformation and stimulate economic growth.”

Governor Bala Muhammed expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating. “This agreement with Galaxy Backbone is a major milestone for Bauchi State. By utilizing advanced ICT infrastructure and expertise,” he said. “We aim to position our state as a digital innovation hub, ensuring effective governance and enhanced service delivery for our people.”

This initiative is expected to strengthen Bauchi State’s ICT infrastructure through GBB’s expertise, foster training and consultancy services, and stimulate economic development. By improving digital connectivity, the partnership aims to attract investment, generate jobs, and open new economic opportunities in the region.

The collaboration aligns with Galaxy Backbone’s mission to expand digital infrastructure across Nigeria, equipping state governments with the necessary tools to thrive in the digital economy.
