Galaxy Backbone (GBB) is expanding its digital footprint with 1Government Cloud solution. In operation since November last year, the unified Infrastructure and Software as a Service (IaaS and SaaS) platform is tailored for federal ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

This initiative is part of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to revolutionize Nigeria’s digital landscape. It will also enhance economic development by providing secure data storage and software through a standardized interface.

The 1Government Cloud solution aligns with best practices and supports the Federal Civil Service Strategy Implementation Plan 2025 (FCSSIP 25).
The platform is designed to improve service delivery, productivity, and citizen engagement, leveraging cloud technology to enhance government processes.
The solution prioritizes data sovereignty, data security, and uniformity across MDAs, ensuring sustainable government operations.

The project, which is already being implemented across various MDAs, aims to promote data localization and foster public-private partnerships.
It will also support economic development through digital innovations in areas such as Enterprise Content Management, and Performance Management. Others are Learning Management, Inter-MDA Communication, File Sharing, Asset Management, Conferencing, and E-Signing.
Since its establishment, Galaxy Backbone has been instrumental in providing digital infrastructure and services to public and private sectors, driving digital transformation through innovative technology solutions.
