Thousands of Nigerian families subscribed to the FreeTV platform as the holiday season continues to view several high definition channels from their homes. The FreeTV platform is powered by the Digital Switch Over (DSO) from analogue television broadcasts and offers viewers a choice of up to 30 local and national channels on air.
In the celebration spirit, Chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited, the only private licensed national signals distributor in the DSO Nigeria project, Sir Lucky Omoluwa sent out special Christmas and New Year greetings to Nigerians highlighting the remarkable benefits of the FreeTV platform. He said with the full implementation of the digital switch over in Nigeria, the citizens are now more enlightened and more up to date about events and issues in the country and current world affairs.
While wishing all Nigerians safe and pleasant festivities and peaceful transition to a prosperous 2019, Omoluwa has called on Christians to emulate Jesus Christ by imbibing the core values of love, tolerance, sacrifice, honesty and peaceful coexistence which Christ exemplified.
In his personal message, he urged Christians to shun tribal and religious sentiments and hate speeches which the Holy Book vehemently abhors, stressing the need for Christians to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ by doing good to all manner of persons.
Omoluwa, leading business entrepreneur in broadcast technology systems and equipment also implored Christians not to forget the teachings of our Lord to love our neighbors as ourselves and embrace peace, love and tolerance while emulating the humility associated with the birth and life of Jesus Christ.
Omoluwa enjoined Christians to continue to live harmoniously with their Muslim brothers and sisters saying that this was the panacea to ethno-religious upheaval adding that Nigeria will only grow a highly beneficial economy if religious organisations preach fear of God and peaceful coexistence.
