FirstBank, a leading West African financial institution known for advancing financial inclusion, is set to host its 6th annual Fintech Summit. The event holds on November 13-14, 2024, under the theme “Banking on Partnerships.” The Summit will bring together global leaders, experts, and innovators. They will be discussing the latest trends in financial technology, highlighting the role of partnerships in transforming the sector.

Since its launch in 2016, the FirstBank Fintech Summit has evolved into a premier gathering for fintech professionals. It has been attracting leading voices in digital innovation from Nigeria and beyond. This year’s event will be hybrid, allowing global participation while also welcoming in-person attendees.

Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme launched 

A key highlight for the 2024 Summit is the inaugural Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme. This initiative is aimed at nurturing early-stage fintech startups with training, and mentorship. In addition, they have an opportunity to pitch their innovative solutions to FirstBank, industry investors, and experts. Winning startups will receive critical support, including guidance and resources from FirstBank, to help bring their solutions to market.

The Summit will feature an engaging lineup of keynote speeches, panel discussions, regulatory and investor roundtables, fireside chats, and masterclasses. Confirmed speakers include industry luminaries like Emmanuel Daniel, founder of TAB Global, and Olusegun Alebiosu, CEO of FirstBank Group. Others include esteemed leaders such as Dr. Markie Idowu, GMD/CEO of Xpress Payment Solutions Limited; ‘DeRemi Atanda, Managing Director of Remita. The list also include Tomilola Majekodunmi, Co-Founder and CEO of Bankly. They will be joined by other distinguished figures in fintech, including Obi Emetarom, Co-Founder and CEO of ZONE, and Obianuju Odukwe, VP of Digital & API Ecosystems at Interswitch Group.
