Domineum, one of the Data Protection Compliance Organisation (DPCOs), licensed by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is hosting a free webinar on Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) implementation.
The event, targeting start-ups, small medium businesses (SMEs) and the Fintech community, is holding jointly with the NITDA which issued the NDPR in 2019 as Nigeria’s primacy legislation on data protection.
“The NDPR provides that organisations are permitted to appoint Data Protection Compliance Organisations (“DPCOs”) to assist them in complying with the requirements of the NDPR.
“DPCOs are entities licensed by NITDA to conduct trainings, auditing, consulting and rendering services for the purpose of compliance with the NDPR or any foreign Data Protection law or regulation having effect in Nigeria,” explained Mondaq.
“Domineum Nigeria has taken it upon itself to organize various sensitisation activities targeted towards this niche group,” the DPCO said as it announced the collaboration with NITDA.
