David Daser reaffirmed DBI’s commitment to using digital tools and educational initiatives to advance ICPC’s anti-corruption efforts. He proposed several collaborative areas, including specialized training programs, ICT development, and public awareness campaigns, aimed at strengthening the ICPC’s operational impact.
“In this spirit of collaboration, DBI could facilitate the immediate launch of tailored training programs for ICPC staff,” stated Akin Ogunlade, Head of Public Affairs at DBI. This training proposal includes a pilot initiative to train selected ICPC personnel at no cost, emphasizing DBI’s commitment to bolstering ICPC’s mandate and operational objectives.
The partnership discussions include formalizing the alliance through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which could see DBI officially designated as ICPC’s training partner.
ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, praised DBI’s innovative and forward-thinking initiatives, expressing optimism for the partnership’s potential. Both organizations reiterated a shared goal of fostering a more transparent, accountable society through capacity-building and technological empowerment.
The visit underscores DBI’s proactive approach in forming alliances that support its mission of advancing digital education and institutional integrity across Nigeria.
