Lagos based Octasis Limited is promoting a national safety agenda with its newly unveiled BioSecurity Disinfectant Booths to help reduce risk of COVID-19 infection at public places, said CEO Tunde Balogun.
“There is still no cure or vaccine for COVID-19 but businesses are gradually opening globally with more emphasis on prevention. As at today, Nigeria has 7,839 confirmed cases of COVID 19 according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). There are 2,263 recovered cases and 226 deaths. Worldwide, there are 5.4 million confirmed cases, 2.17 million recovered cases and 345, 000 deaths. Lagos alone has 3,357 confirmed cases, recovered cases are 627 and there are 42 deaths.
“The BioSecurity disinfectant booths are manufactured in Nigeria and are able to address our unique needs and behavior as a people.
Entry into offices, hospitals, banks or any public place will only be allowed when the person has passed through the BioSecurity disinfectant booths; and they are disinfected within the confined space, their temperature taken as well as other indicators as required.,” said Balogun.
The BioSecurity disinfectant booths come in two ranges for now: the Premium with the Mid-level range.
The Premium range is fully automated while the Mid-level range is less automatic. Both meet the essential needs of ensuring that people who gain access to public facilities are not health risk and are less likely to infect others with COVID-19, added the Octasis boss.
The Premium range offers automatic induction misty spray, thinning throttling balanced spray that does no damage to human body or clothes; IP Rated cabinet for electrical and disinfectant storage; built-in sole disinfection soft material to hold residual disinfectant spray and automatic hand sanitizer.
This range is fully automation and no hand operations needed. It also features infra-red temperature reader (sound & light); sensor-based hand sanitizer dispenser; sensor-based body mist dispenser disinfectant and comes with integrated 25 litres of World Health Organization (WHO) approved COVID19 disinfectant. It has a LED interior lighting.
The automated scientific derivation of amount of disinfectant helps to completely neutralize COVID19 virus in each single operation. All 220V installed pipes are non-corrosive and thus, long lasting.
The Premium range also offers optional features which include external PDA for biometric recognition, mask recognition, on-site face recognition collection, and the NCDC black list early warning is connected to databases.
The mid-range features semi automation, no hand operations needed; foot pedal-based hand sanitizer dispenser; sensor-based body mist dispenser disinfectant and comes with an integrated 25 litres of World Health Organization (WHO) approved COVID19 disinfectant. Illumination is well provided with a 220V household AC power.
