In a strategic effort to bolster Africa’s impact investment and startup ecosystem, two flagship events will be held back-to-back in Nairobi, Kenya this November 2024. Welcome  to the inaugural African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) Conference and the 11th Angel Fair Africa (AFA). These events aim to drive capital into African social investments. They will also support the growth of innovative tech startups across the continent.

The 2024 AVPA Conference, scheduled from 4th to 6th November, will gather top social investors and impact practitioners to discuss how Africa can achieve sustainable growth. The conference will spotlight key opportunities and conversations around innovative financing and sustainability. Organisers are focusing on catalytic capital, capacity building, and community-driven initiatives that create measurable impact.

Following the AVPA event, Chanzo Capital will host the 11th Angel Fair Africa on 7th and 8th November 2024. This premier gathering will focus on facilitating deals between investors and early-stage and scaling entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs will undergo a bootcamp to refine their pitches and present in front of investors and other funders in the impact investment space.

The 2024 AVPA conference will be held at the Trademark hotel in Village Market, whilAFA@11 will be close by at the Holiday Inn in Two Rivers. This will be the 11th AFA, with last year’s event held in Cape Town, South Africa.
