Airtel Africa has inked a partnership with Samsung that would unleash the power of 5G technology and further empower Nigerian innovators and entrepreneurs.

The partnership will bring Samsung’s budget-friendly 5G smartphones and Airtel’s subsidized 5G routers to customers; a revolutionary market approach to democratize access to high-speed connectivity and unleash the full potential of 5G technology for a broader spectrum of consumers.

According to the CEO/MD of Airtel Nigeria, Mr Carl Cruz, users equipped with 5G-capable devices such as Samsung and other brands can now enjoy the exceptional speed and reliability of Airtel Nigeria’s 5G network.

He spoke during the inauguration of the 5G services that recently held in Lagos, Rivers, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Cruz expressed excitement over the transformative potential of 5G technology to introduce an entirely new realm of possibilities across various sectors such as cloud computing, telemedicine, self-driving cars, cloud gaming, augmented reality, virtual reality, Internet of Things (IoT), and smart homes amongst others.

He highlighted the immense power and speed of Airtel 5G network to pave the way for creative individuals and ambitious entrepreneurs in fields such as technology, medicine, fashion, retail, communications, and media.

By enabling cloud-based solutions, telemedicine advancements, seamless connectivity for autonomous vehicles, immersive gaming experiences, and enhanced IoT connectivity, chances are that Airtel’s 5G network would become a catalyst for progress and a catalyst for Nigeria’s digital transformation.
