This week, Nigeria’s political capital Abuja will be hosting the 4th annual Nigeria Tech Innovation & Telecom Awards (NTITA) as part of the commemorative events to celebrate Nigeria’s Diamond Jubilee.
The event holds November 7, 2020 at the NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja.
NTITA is turning the spotlight on political willpower and tech innovation with organisers emphatically stating that increasing level of political willpower amongst Nigerian top decision makers is helping to advance the desired results for innovation, ICT infrastructure development and digital economy.
The annual NTITA, Nigeria’s ICT Oscars Awards, held as the most famous and prestigious awards in the sector, will be celebrating the resilience, technical merit and innovation in the telecom and ICT industry.
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami and Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State are leading the nominees list in government space at this year’s NTITA.
Pantami’s robust profile as a leading light in ICT policy drive and a pathfinder for Nigeria’s steady push in digital economy attracts wide appeal from NTITA 2020 judging panel drawn from some of the most respected figures from the technology industry, media and academia.
Lalong’s consistent leverage of technology and ICT-inclined policies to explore new level of social and economic impacts drew similar appeal.
The race for nomination remains strong aside the categories for Nigeria ICT Governor of the Year, and Digital Leader of the Year. Others are Public Sector ICT Woman of the Year. Public Sector ICT CEO of the Year, Broadband Oxygenator of the Year, Telecom CEO of the Year, the ICT First Lady for 2020, Emerging ICT CEO for 2020, Most Innovative and ICT Focussed State 2020, Most Innovative Operator 2020, and a host of other awards.
As the sector’s leading awards, NTITA operates as a collaborative platform with stakeholders majorly: the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON).
According to organisers, the NTITA 2020 is headlining a telecoms and ICT industry that gas remained most formidable in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic.
