The 7th West Africa Convergence Conference (WACC 2015) will hold in November this year, chairman of the organizing committee for WACC 2015, Engr. Kayode Gbadamosi, has announced.
Gbadamosi, former zonal director of the Nigeria Television Authority -NTA, said this year’s event will be highlighting the opportunities and challenges of convergence despite the county’s infrastructural deficits. WACC 2015 theme is: ‘Addressing Infrastructural Challenges in a Converged Market.’
The event is scheduled to hold 9AM; Friday, November 13, 2015 inside the Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Ikeja, Lagos. Official event site is www.waconvergenceconference.org.
The Four Broad Sessions at the 7th Convergence Forum are: Convergence and Broadband Infrastructures; Convergence, Digital Migration and Emerging Trends in the Broadcast Industry; Convergence Trends and Local Content; Convergence and BPO/Outsourcing – Opportunities and Challenges in Nigeria. The terminal session is the Testimonial/Case Study Session on Convergence Testimonials in Nigeria’s marketplace. A key area at WACC 2015 is the ‘Regulatory Focus on Addressing Local Content Needs as Convergence takes foothold.’
The WAAC event is promoted by Knowhow Media International (publishers of eT Edge News and www.itedgenews.com). The WACC event is one of its flagship events targeting the ICT sector across West Africa.
