Black Friday may be over but the ecommerce site competition is not. E-commerce sites are failing to meet the basic standards when it comes to SEO; a new white paper has revealed that 60% of e-commerce sites are failing Google’s performance tests. A statistic not to be ignored as 53% of site visitors will leave if a site takes longer than 3 seconds to load*, costing online business revenue with every failure.

The report, which includes insights from a study of 24,681 Ecommerce Domains, from Ecommerce SEO agency Reboot Online went on to reveal that 73% of sites contained broken or outdated internal links. This figure is alarmingly high as ensuring links are working should be part of general webpage housekeeping.
